Job Overview:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist with expertise in elderly care and orthopaedics to join the multidisciplinary team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to elderly patients and those undergoing orthopaedic treatment, helping them achieve independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions for elderly and orthopaedic patients.
- Manage a complex caseload of patients, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual rehabilitation plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on strategies for daily living.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and supervise junior staff.
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience in elderly care and orthopaedic settings.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
