Job Overview:We are looking for a motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist experienced in Emergency Department care. This role focuses on rapid assessments, interventions, and discharge planning to ensure safe and efficient transitions for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of Emergency Department patients.
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to prevent admissions and support timely discharges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide education and advice to patients and families for post-discharge care.
- Manage a diverse caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with professional standards.
- Contribute to clinical governance and service development projects.
Key Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in Emergency Department or acute care settings.
- Expertise in rapid assessment, clinical decision-making, and discharge planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a dynamic caseload under pressure.
- Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams.
