We are seeking a Rehousing Support Officer for an immediate start in a South East London local authority. This role is crucial in supporting the next phases of demolition and rehousing, which are critical stages in estate renewal programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in fulfilling the council’s contractual obligations, including obtaining compulsory purchase orders if necessary.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support residents through the rehousing process to facilitate estate renewal programmes.
  • Work closely with other teams and agencies to ensure a smooth transition for residents affected by estate renewals.
  • Manage and resolve any rehousing issues efficiently, maintaining high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to rehousing and estate demolition.
  • Assist in obtaining compulsory purchase orders as part of fulfilling contractual obligations to builders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working in a local authority or social housing setting.
