We are looking for an AV and IT Support Officer to provide prompt, in-depth, customer-focussed 2nd and 3rd line support to staff, students and honorary contract holders.

The post holder will provide field, phone and remote based support of the Managed Desktop, desktops/laptops, mobile devices, networking equipment, audio visual equipment, multimedia equipment, video conferencing and specialist equipment.

This is a full time onsite role, based primarily in the London, Stratford area.

You will be:

  • Providing remote and in-person management & support for IT, AV, Video Conferencing, networking and other learning and teaching technologies
  • Assisting the Technical Specialists with managing and maintaining the AV/IT facilities within the cluster rooms, seminar rooms and lecture theatre
  • Managing a comprehensive site inventory for AV and VC equipment
  • Prepare, maintain and test teaching and learning and VC facilities within locally managed teaching and learning spaces including cluster & seminar rooms, conference facilities and lecture theatre
  • Provide IT, AV and VC services including on-site repair of this equipment in the rooms across the company

Key requirements:

  • Audio Visual fundamentals
  • Signal processing, switching and distribution
  • Fundamentals of cabling conventions, standards and their applications
  • Crestron programming
  • Lecture capture equipment and software such as Echo 360
  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing, IP H323 coded and ISDN H320 codec
  • Managed Desktop Services using Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Appsense and Ivanti
  • Experience of supporting large scale conferences and high profile events
  • Experience of network cabling, switches, patching and Wireless networking
