Freelance Media Services Operator:We are assisting a Global media and entertainment company in recruiting a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freelance Media Services Operator to join their dynamic team on a 12 month contract. In this critical 24/7 role, you will play a vital part in the successful broadcast of 30,000+ hours of content annually. You will be responsible for the accurate quality control and preparation of all media assets, ensuring they meet the highest broadcast standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Processing & Preparation:
- Accurately process media assets according to established SOPs.
- Perform audio track additions using Adobe Audition.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks (audio/video levels, meta data accuracy) using a 5-point grading system.
- Ensure all processed content is properly uploaded to the cloud.
- Technical Operations:
- Monitor and maintain broadcast equipment (vector scopes, loudness meters, waveforms).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct technical quality assessments as required.
- Data Management:
- Manage and maintain media meta data within broadcast systems.
- Liaise with the Media Management team to ensure timely processing of all materials.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant industry regulations (OFCOM, NICAM).
- Teamwork & Support:
- Provide support to colleagues and contribute to team training initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Shift Work:
- Work a 24/7 shift pattern, including 7 day shifts and 7 night shifts per month.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced media environment, preferably within a multi-channel broadcast setting.
- Strong understanding of video and audio theory, including broadcast quality control standards.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with MAM systems (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctual and reliable.
