About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and highly organized individual to join our dynamic Operations team. This Back Office Manager role combines settlements, payments, and reconciliations, offering a fast-paced and varied environment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial experience in operations and will excel at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and delivering high-quality results efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and check client and company accounts regularly
- Candidate needs to understand how to manual process a foreign currency transaction in the relevant currency. As the process might be different for different currencies.Therefore understanding the mechanics of international payments is key.
- Monitor incoming funds from clients, ensuring all are processed correctly
- Set up payment sheets and facilitate payments to brokers
- Confirm that all sources of funds have been approved by Compliance
- Follow up on outstanding payments and track client debts
- Reconcile client and company accounts using Xero and spreadsheets
- Maintain and update Margin Report, Unpaid Monies Report, and Open Case Report
- Authorize payments in accordance with company protocols
- Obtain and log SWIFT messages for incoming and outgoing payments
- Record and track funds transferred between companies
- Control and reconcile returned currency from brokers
- Ensure compliance for any third-party payments
- Set up and execute payments to clients
- Update Xero and internal online trade platform systems
- Chase clients for payment details and add them to the in-house trade platform
- Verify broker recaps and ensure accuracy in all transactions
- Ensure all third-party payments are compliant
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of commercial experience in operational roles
- Must have FX experience.
- Strong understanding of Excel and financial reconciliation processes
- Solid knowledge of accounts, payments, and compliance procedures
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
