Office Manager / Document Controller

  • Job Type: Full-time. 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Join a leading construction company as an Office Manager / Document Controller at their head office in Central London. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple sectors such as residential, commercial, retail and leisure. It’s an excellent chance to expand your experience and manage various aspects of construction projects. Although you will predominantly be based in Head Office, you will also have the opportunity to work on site 1 day a week, and deal with the project team directly, with opportunities to watch the project construction / delivery live.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage numerous subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with company standards and maintaining up-to-date paperwork.
  • Track subcontractor information on internal databases.
  • Handle online payment systems for subcontractors, ensuring all insurances are current.
  • Manage new starters by ensuring standard equipment such as phones and laptops are tracked and managed.
  • Document control for incoming tenders
  • Use initiative and proactive management to maintain efficient operations within the office

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Document control experience is essential
  • Procore experience is preferable but not essential 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using office and database management software.
  • Ability to work full-time 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday from the office located in Central London, with one day on site in West London.
