At the forefront of contemporary glass design, London Glassblowing Gallery is situated in the London Borough of Southwark on Bermondsey Street and runs a gallery, hot glass-blowing studio and cold glass-finishing studio onsite.

We are looking for a practical, highly numerate, friendly and motivated self-starter to join our team as Office Manager on a part-time basis, Mon-Fri, 10am to 2pm:

  • Developing and maintaining a pleasant office environment for all
  • Negotiating/maintaining office systems/contracts: rent, insurance, payment processing, IT, Google Workspace etc.
  • Payroll management/holiday records
  • Understanding and advising on imports/exports of goods
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping: processing invoices and sales receipts, aged debtors/creditors, reconciling banks, coding staff expenses, transaction coding/processing, P&L, sales reports, banking
  • Reviewing and filing quarterly VAT returns
  • Grant reporting
  • Cost reviews/management
  • Maintaining office filing system

Desired experience/qualities:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of using Xero, Pleo and Google Workspace
  • Experience working in an artistic environment
  • A practical, motivated self-starter with the ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrable bookkeeping and data entry experience
  • An understanding of HMRC’s Margin Scheme would be beneficial but is not essential
