About the Role

We are looking for a Office Receptionist and Administrator to join our client, supporting the Director of SEND in managing daily office operations, handling key administrative tasks, and serving as the first point of contact for parents, carers, and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a purpose-driven education environment, contributing to the smooth operation of the college and providing a welcoming reception service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk & Visitor Management: Answer calls, take messages, redirect inquiries, and greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Student Records & Administration: Maintain and update learner files, ensuring accurate records of personal details, admissions, withdrawals, and medical updates.
  • Health Administration Support: Work alongside the Health Lead to assist with health-related administrative tasks.
  • Office Support: Manage letters, emails, and general correspondence; organise college policies, activities, and events; and support Oyster card top-ups and ID pass issuance for staff, students, and visitors.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key contact point for parents, carers, and external organisations, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • General College Support: Assist with college enrolment, promotional events, induction days, and open evenings, occasionally requiring flexibility outside standard hours (time off in lieu provided).
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health & safety, safeguarding, equality & diversity, and risk management policies.
What We’re Looking ForExperience
  • Minimum one year of administrative support experience in an education setting (Desirable).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Essential).
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to build strong relationships with learners, staff, and external stakeholders (Essential).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (Essential).
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a small team (Essential).
