OFFICE MANAGER  A 7-week temporary opportunity as an Office Manager within the travel industry!      OFFICE MANAGER ROLE:
  • Managing office facilities for smooth and efficient operations
  • Ensuring problems with services or functions are dealt with and resolved as quickly as possible with well-communicated solutions
  • Liaising with the onsite building management company regarding security and other aspects of office management, ensuring systems of work comply with current Health and Safety Regulations in liaison with building security staff and the landlord as appropriate
  • Ensuring the company is provided with reception services; overseeing tasks performed by the Receptionist/Facilities Assistant, such as post room services, stationery and catering supplies
  • Acting as the appointed Competent Person for office Health and Safety, including managing the policy and any required changes, all risk assessments
  • Maintaining service provisions at all times, including during staff sickness and holiday periods
  • Ensuring office fixtures and equipment are maintained in good working order and facilities costs are within budget
  • Leading on and coordinating the company's charity events while ensuring the involvement of the company's staff members to make the events a success
  • Managing the organisation, room design, and running of meeting rooms for internal and external events, ensuring costs are kept to a minimum and within set budgets
  • Managing the company's large mail-out projects during the year, including the highly important subscription mailing
  • Coordinating and reviewing the company's business continuity plan on a regular basis, ensuring that it is kept up to date, including procedures for terrorist incidents; ensuring all those involved understand their roles through training and practice exercises
  • Acting as the everyday contact for the company's investment property
OFFICE MANAGER ESSENTIALS:
  • Minimum 12 months of Office Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills – able to work to given deadlines and quality measurements
  • Budget and contract management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
