Vrgrnn is an agile, Norway-based offshore wind company powering the energy transition through development, construction, operation, and ownership of offshore wind assets. Vrgrnn is a joint venture between the energy company Plenitude (Eni) and the Norwegian energy entrepreneur and investor HitecVision.

Vrgrnn holds a 20% share in Dogger Bank, the world's largest offshore windfarm under construction, and has together with Flotation Energy been awarded exclusivity to develop up to 1.9 GW from the offshore floating windfarms Green Volt and Cenos in Scotland. Green Volt will be Europe's first commercial scale floating offshore wind farm.

We are collaborating with Equinor to develop a floating offshore wind project at Utsira Nord in Norway of up to 750 MW, and the Baltics, Vrgrnn is leading a collaboration with European Energy towards the upcoming auction round in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. In Ireland, we are partnering with Energia Renewables to develop offshore wind projects of up to 1.8 GW. Our organisation is based in Stavanger, Oslo, and London, and is expanding to meet our strategic goals and drive offshore wind forward in Northern Europe.

This position will be a part of the Green Volt project team, a pioneering floating offshore wind project, for which Vrgrnn and Flotation Energy was awarded a UK Government Contract for Difference.

The project will be a catalyst for the creation of a robust floating wind supply chain in the UK, and an essential steppingstone from current small-scale projects to gigawatt-size developments. Green Volt represents an important leap towards the 5GW floating offshore wind target the UK has set for 2030, and the benefits of Green Volt will be felt beyond the UK, being a catalyst for the development of floating wind elsewhere in Europe.

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Responsible for leading the WTG contract packages through development, contracting and execution.
  • Supporting at different stages of development through turbine selection, TSA negotiation and supporting manufacturing and installation phase
  • Review WTG supplier technical documentation and deliverables
  • Manage and coordinate WTG technical and interface aspects
  • Review of technical schedules and discussions / alignments of these with the turbine manufacturers
  • Participating in design review and manufacturing meetings with suppliers and inspectors
  • Support in technical contract negotiations with the turbine manufacturers
  • Liaise with external professionals who provide technical expertise and project support in evaluation of operational and performance issues

Experience and qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with extensive project management experience, technical and practical knowledge of wind turbine technology, preferably both electrical and mechanical aspects.

A strong understanding of industry standards, offshore regulations, and HSE legislation related to construction projects is positive

The ideal candidate is proactive, engaged and uphold high ethical standards. To succeed in the role, there is a preference if you are systematic and structured, with the ability to prepare and execute plans effectively.
