Senior Specifications Technologist

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a global food manufacturer looking to appoint a Senior Specifications Technologist on a 12 month FTC.

On Offer:

• Salary is 40,000 - 45,000 + bonus
• 25 days holiday + bank holiday

• Hybrid working (2/3 days WFH)

The role:

As Senior Specifications Technologist, you will oversee the creation, validation, and approval of finished product specifications for both branded and private-label products. Using your expertise in UK and EU regulations, you will ensure compliance by reviewing and approving artwork and labeling. Additionally, you will collaborate with external agencies to gain insights into Canadian and US labeling requirements and integrate them effectively.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a strong grasp of critical path timelines. Actively participating in cross-functional meetings, you will provide updates on project statuses, address challenges, and ensure deadlines are met with optimal results.

Candidate requirement:

• 2/3 years experience working in a Specifications role within a food or drinks business.
• Degree in Food Science or equivalent
• Experience using specification systems and customer portals
• Excellent organisational skills and an analytical thinker
• The ability to be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
