Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality income maximisation and arrears reduction services.
  • Monitor rent accounts and take recovery steps when necessary.
  • Offer support and advice to residents facing financial difficulties.
  • Negotiate repayment arrangements and manage casework effectively.
  • Attend court hearings and prepare necessary documentation.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Knowledge of housing legislation and welfare reform.
  • Experience in a housing environment and handling vulnerable clients.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and strong numerical skills.
  • Proficient IT skills and casework experience.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Familiarity with the Northgate Housing system or similar databases.
  • Understanding of performance measurement systems in housing.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and addressing sensitive issues.
