FULLY REMOTE ROLE - WORK FROM HOME

Integra Education is seeking a dedicated Autism Lead Tutor to work with a secondary-aged pupil with autism, supporting their academic, emotional, and social development. This role involves working closely with the pupil and the tutor team to deliver tailored educational and therapeutic support as part of an EOTAS package. The successful candidate will also take a leadership role in guiding and supporting tutors to ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver autism-friendly lessons tailored to the pupil’s EHCP goals, focusing on engagement and progression.
  • Support social and emotional skills development using strategies like Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking.
  • Collaborate with the tutor team, providing leadership through regular guidance, training, and resources to implement autism-specific teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, offering constructive feedback to tutors to refine approaches and align with the pupil’s needs.
  • Coordinate with the family and therapists to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to the pupil’s education and development.
  • Prepare the pupil for adulthood through life skills training, transition planning, and fostering independence.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent in SEN support or teaching.
  • Proven experience working with pupils with autism and delivering impactful interventions.
  • Experience delivering training to tutors or educators related to autism strategies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, with the ability to inspire and support colleagues.
  • Knowledge of autism-specific strategies, safeguarding practices, and inclusive teaching methods.
