Horizon Teachers are currently working with an Ofsted good rated Primary School within the borough of Brent that are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a child in their Year 4 class that requires close support as they have SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. As a Behaviour Mentor you will need to help the class teacher manage their behaviour and use your initiative to help best support them. You will need to be resilient and be able to quickly create a rapport with the child. This school has great transport links and they work hard to provide a welcoming environment to prepare students to be confident and happy within their education.This will be a very rewarding role for the right person and will pay up to £550 per week. The role is to start ASAP until July 2025, on a full-time basis.What the school are looking for in their Behaviour Mentors:
  • Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs / challenging behaviours is very desirable.
  • Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
  • Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
