Salary - 95 - 110 per day

A large Special Needs school in Wandsworth is recruiting experienced Behaviour Mentors for full time positions starting in November 2024. Working hours are 8.15am - 4.15pm Monday to Friday.

The school caters for 120 pupils aged 5 -19 years old, with EHCPs for SEMH, however many students have additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and SpLD. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer vocational courses and extra-curricular activities.

Behaviour Mentors at this school will support children from KS1 through to KS5 who have SEMH and additional needs. Students across the school present challenging and distressed behaviour and need support with their learning, as well as behaviour and emotional regulation. Staff will be required to work on a 1:1 and whole class basis.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience within a similar setting and are passionate individuals, who don't give up. Candidates with a background in Youth and social work will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on a 1:1 and small group basis leading sessions and working with students individually.
  • Supporting students at all attainment levels
  • Ability to engage and support pupils across activities and learning
  • Working with outside agencies
  • Supervising, coaching and mentoring behaviour of pupils
