If so, we want you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor at our dynamic and inclusive college in East London.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Work closely with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Identify triggers and underlying causes of challenging behaviour.
  • Implement effective strategies to manage and improve behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Serve as a role model, inspiring students to develop resilience and self-confidence.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with young people, especially those with behavioural challenges.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and intervention techniques.
  • Awareness of the factors contributing to challenging behaviour, such as trauma, anxiety, or unmet needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
  • Minimum qualification of GCSE

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Education, Youth Work, or a related field.
  • Additional training in behaviour management or SEN (Special Educational Needs) support.
