Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) across Stratford, East Ham, and Plaistow. You will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviours, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to provide emotional and behavioural support
  • Implement tailored intervention strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a safe and structured learning environment
  • Support students in managing their emotions, developing social skills, and improving self-regulation
  • Act as a role model, promoting resilience, confidence, and a growth mindset
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to student progress
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
  • Previous experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or similar setting is desirable
