Behaviour Mentor - The Role

  • Full-time Behaviour Mentor supporting a Year 4 pupil 1:1 with SEMH needs.
  • Implement tailored behaviour strategies to keep the child engaged and motivated.
  • Build a strong and positive relationship to boost confidence and encourage progress.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo, class teacher, and pastoral team to create a supportive environment.
  • Help manage challenging behaviour in a calm, structured, and proactive way.

Behaviour Mentor - About You

  • Previous SEN/SEMH experience - essential for this Behaviour Mentor role.
  • Confident in supporting challenging behaviour with a patient and resilient approach.
  • Able to build trusting relationships with children and create a safe, structured environment.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Experience in a school-based support role is highly desirable.
