***Complex needs Teaching Assistant - ASAP Start***

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a Complex needs Teaching Assistant for students with Complex autism. They are based in a lovely secondary school in Newham, East London

The role

Within this Complex needs Teaching Assistant role you will be working 1 -1 with students who have Severe - High functioning autism, you will be supporting them in a class setting along with the teacher and other Ta's, your main responsibility is to keep the students calm, engaged and happy throughout the day. You will deal with outburst, disruptions, bad behaviour and Personal care.

You will be the responsible for one child following there EHCP closely and using pecs and other visual aids to help them throughout the day.

The Position is a full-time position starting immediately up until the end of the academic year, this role could go on for the following year if all goes successfully. The school has excellent transport links and a car park if you do drive.

Suitability

The ideal candidate for this Complex needs Teaching Assistantposition will have experience working with severe SEN and complex needs and/or any skills such as Makaton, PECS, Team Teach, Restraint Training etc.
