Are you a skilled DT Technician looking to work in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich? We are seeking a motivated individual to support the Design and Technology department by ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. As a DT Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, preparing materials, and supporting students in their practical learning.

Key Responsibilities of the DT Technician:

  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons, ensuring they are in safe and working order.
  • Provide technical support to teachers and students during practical sessions.
  • Maintain and repair DT equipment, including Pillar Drills, Lathes, Soldering equipment, and Turning tools.
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times within the workshop and classroom.
  • Assist in organising and managing stock levels of materials and resources.

Requirements for the DT Technician role:

  • Some knowledge of Pillar Drills, Lathes, Soldering, and Turning equipment is essential.
  • Experience working in a Design and Technology workshop or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff and students.
