About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an Exams Access Arrangements Assessor for a fixed term post. Reporting to the ALS Manager, you will be a key member of the College's ALS Team.

In this role you will work with the ALS Manager to raise awareness of dyslexia and other learning difficulties, including providing guidance and training to staff. You will oversee Exam Access referrals and allocations of learning support for your allocated campus and conduct access arrangement assessments according to JCQ and Awarding Organisations regulations. You will complete Form 8s and provide the necessary information for the completion of file notes. You will support with the EHCP consultation and annual review process.

About you:

In order to be successful in this role, the successful candidate will need to possess all or most of the following:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • Current Level 7 SpLD (with Exam Access Arrangements) or equivalent Exam Access Arrangements qualification
  • Recent experience of supporting and assessing learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and monitoring progress
  • Recent experience of raising and/or maintaining good standards of learner attainment and progress
  • Experience of analyzing and using learner data to improve outcomes
  • Experience of assessing learner progress and providing effective feedback
  • Experience of carrying out EHCP consultations and EHCP annual reviews
