Our client, a large international organisation within the real-estate/education sector, is looking to secure their next Head of Company Secretariat. This will be initially an interim role, with strong potential to go permanent. Therefore, candidates need to be available to start within the next 4 weeks.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office (London based).

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Head of Company Secretariat will play a crucial role in leading the Company Secretarial function, including leading projects to transform the function, while providing expert advice on corporate governance, subsidiary management and transaction support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Subsidiary governance for a global portfolio (15 + countries)
  • Advising, project management and support on the company secretarial elements of major corporate reorganisations
  • Incorporation of new companies relating to real estate and M&A projects
  • Implementing best in class procedures to improve governance and maintenance of global corporate compliance
  • Managing a junior member of staff

The ideal candidate will have extensive company secretarial experience within an international organisation. You will have strong subsidiary governance experience and be comfortable/confident engaging with senior stakeholder. You will be available to begin work within the next 4 weeks.
