I am working with the Greater London Authority (GLA), who are seeking a Reward Lead to spearhead the design, delivery, and implementation of comprehensive reward, benefits, and recognition strategies across the organisation. This role is pivotal in supporting our People Strategy and ensuring our reward systems align with our commitment to fairness, diversity, and regulatory compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead the strategic development of long-term reward, benefits, and recognition strategies to support organisational goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive pay and grading reviews in collaboration with senior management and internal stakeholders.
- Design and execute reward frameworks that align with organisational principles, including cost-benefit analyses and project management.
- Oversee annual performance compensation processes and ensure the governance of remuneration decisions.
- Maintain and enhance a competitive core employee benefits proposition and develop voluntary benefits to foster a recognition culture.
- Develop organisation-wide communication plans to articulate the rationale behind reward strategies and their impact on employees.
- Ensure all reward and recognition practices are non-discriminatory, comply with equality laws, and promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Corporate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development or equivalent professional competence.
- Substantial experience in a senior strategic HR role within a complex, high-profile organisation.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases and negotiate with trade unions.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of numeracy and experience in data analysis.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and influence senior leadership.
