Main Responsibilities of the Housing Officer:
  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails, responding in a timely manner.
  • Handle tenant and contractor queries, directing requests to the right team members or arranging repairs.
  • Answer customer questions and refer them to the appropriate person when needed.
  • Prepare letters, reports, and other documents as required.
  • Oversee filing and record-keeping systems.
  • Update internal databases.
  • Support the team and directors with administrative tasks.
  • Stay informed about housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure tenancy agreements are up to date and tenants receive the correct paperwork.
What They Are Looking For:
  • Experience in the housing sector.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-organized, able to meet deadlines, and manage a busy workload.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
