Are you a technically strong accountant with a background in statutory reporting? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you manage multiple sets of accounts and stakeholders? Are you available for an interim contract supporting a busy year-end?
This unique Not-for-Profit organisation in Southwest London blends the technical demands of accountancy practice with the sector focus of a housing provider, producing a high volume of statutory accounts on behalf of smaller organisations. They are seeking an Interim Year-End Accountant for an initial three-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension on a more ad-hoc basis.
Key duties include:
- Delivering over a dozen sets of statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Performing complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Liaising with multiple external auditors, responding to queries and providing financial data.
- Supporting the production of quarterly management accounts.
- Liaising with HMRC to calculate tax liabilities and complete VAT returns.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting and thrives in a practice-style setting, managing multiple reporting requirements simultaneously. The successful applicant should expect to work on a hybrid basis out of the attractive Southwest London office.
To be considered, candidates must:
- Hold a full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Have strong experience in year-end financial reporting.
- Be comfortable juggling multiple audits and external stakeholder requirements.
- Have a track record in complex reconciliations, tax, and VAT processes.
This is a contract that is suited to those who enjoy working intensively at year-end, with the option to provide support on a more ad-hoc basis throughout the year. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply now!
