About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Leasehold Officer to join a local authority based in West London on a temporary contract. This full-time role offers hybrid working, providing flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to leaseholders and freeholders, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements while supporting the council's Resident Services division.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage leaseholder services, including statutory consultations, service charge calculation, billing, and income recovery.
- Handle leasehold assignments, Right-to-Buy applications, and queries related to major works.
- Administer and enforce lease conditions, including addressing breaches such as ASB.
- Conduct service charge income management, arrears recovery, and handle escalated legal actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, asset management) and external stakeholders to ensure effective leasehold management.

Candidate Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of leasehold and property management legislation, including the Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002 and Landlord & Tenant Act 1985.
- Experience managing service charge billing, major works consultations, and arrears recovery.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently, balancing conflicting priorities.
- Previous experience working in local authority or housing association environments is highly desirable.
