We have an exciting opportunity working for one of London’s largest organisations as a Material Controller.
Role overview:Â A member of the Material Management team, providing inventory control and expediting for the relevant asset area ensuring all materials required for maintenance, Projects and related functions are delivered on time keeping with inventory levels within targets. Delivering in conjunction with Commercial and TfL Engineering to ensure the performance, safety and cost of the asset base are optimised from a whole life perspective. Looking after materials for the Sub-assemblies section.Key information:Â
- Contract duration: 31.10.2024 (will be extended to March 2025)
- Location: Full Time Acton Depot (W3 8BZ)
- Workings hours: Monday- Thursday 7:30am – 3:30pm/Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
- Start date: ASAP.Â
- Day rate: £164 PAYE/ £218.49 Umbrella
 Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Manufacturing/Materials background (desirable)
- Expediting
- Purchase order planning experience
- Good knowledge of procurement and materials management systems including MRP/ERP
- Good knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes
- Proven ability to communicate with people at all levels, including both external and internal stakeholders, in a positive and consistent manner.
- Ability to analyse complex data and formulate appropriate plans for improvement.
- Proficiency in the use of IT applications, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP
