REGULATORY ONBOARDING ANALYST (6 MONTH CONTRACT)

Our client is seeking a Regulatory Onboarding Analyst for a 6-month contract based in London. This role plays a critical part in protecting the firm against money laundering and other associated risks, while also forming a key part of the initial client experience. With increased scrutiny from Regulators regarding control frameworks and Senior Managers oversight responsibilities, this role requires maintaining a robust control framework and attaining the highest standards of risk management and record keeping. The successful candidate will join the Onboarding Team and be responsible for the day-to-day execution of procedures to ensure accurate application of internal policy.

What you'll do:
As a Regulatory Onboarding Analyst, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client's operations are compliant with regulatory standards. You will actively participate in the AML/KYC onboarding process across all business lines, identifying potential 'red flags' and escalating them to Compliance & Financial Crime teams as necessary. Your input will be crucial in enhancing the onboarding process, working closely with key internal stakeholders. You will also take part in project-based work, producing valuable management information, updating procedural documentation, and developing strong relationships with various internal teams.
* Contributing to the on-going evolution and enhancement of the Onboarding process/function in partnership with key internal stakeholders.* Active participation in the AML/KYC onboarding process across all business lines and product types.* Identifying and investigating potential 'red flags' in the onboarding process and escalating where applicable.* Participating in project-based work, as required, from concept through to implementation.* Producing, maintaining and distributing management information internally.* Making updates to procedural documentation and internal user guides to maintain accuracy and ensure consistency of application.* Prioritising, reviewing and escalating outstanding issues / control weaknesses and logging them accordingly in a timely manner.* Developing strong relationships with a variety of internal teams and key stakeholders.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Regulatory Onboarding Analyst role will bring a wealth of experience in Onboarding within Financial Services, particularly in executing control processes for an Institutional Client base. You will have a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape (MIFID) and standards applied both locally and globally with regard to AML/KYC. Your experience in partnering with other internal functions to complete project work, remediation exercises and/or resolution of issues through control design enhancements will be highly valued. Your excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, innovative thinking, and client-focused approach will set you apart.
* Demonstrable experience (2+ years) within an onboarding function in Financial Services across a range of client sizes and profiles* Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and standards applied locally and globally with regard to MIFID, AML/KYC - additional qualifications (e.g. CAMS) an advantage.* Experience of partnering with other internal functions to complete project work, remediation exercises and/or resolution of issues through control design enhancements.* Experience of developing meaningful MIS / KPI's to illustrate key risks and the health of the business/function an advantage.* Track record of introducing new ideas and helping to drive change.* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate messages concisely to management and clients.* Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, proven ability to prioritise projects, innovative thinking, and a client-focused approach.* Ability to work both independently and as a team member.* Strong eye for detail and an ability to remain calm under pressure.* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
