About the Part-Time Mentor position:
Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We are a leading tutoring agency looking for mentors to support students on a 1:1 basis, based in Grays and the surrounding area.
- Developing and using strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
- To develop a 1:1 mentoring relationship with your student.
- To support student's in vocational activities, both in the home and in the local community.
- Working directly with individuals to raise self-esteem and confidence, with a view to improving their personal and social skills.
Contract Details for Part-Time Mentor position:
- Location - Grays
- Position - Part Time Mentor

- Start date - ASAP
- Contract type - Temporary - likely to be long term
- Likely Duration - Ongoing until the student can return to school.
- Full time/part-time - Part-time
- Minimum rate of pay - 20 - 25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time Mentor position:
- You MUST have relevant experience working with young people
- Experience working with Students with SEMH would be advantageous.
- Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
- A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
- The ability to engage and motivate students.
To be eligible for the Part-Time Mentor position through Prospero Teaching you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
