Our client, is looking for a Part-Time Premium Technician to join their team. This is a part-time role of 15 hours per week, spread over five days, with two days in the office. (3/4 hours) The remaining hours can be worked from home flexibly. The FTE salary is up to £40,000, with a pro-rata part-time salary of approximately £17,000 per annum.



Main Duties:

Premium Processing:
Process premiums and premium bordereaux in the accounting system.
Submit premiums and premium bordereaux to underwriters via a third-party system.
Handle underwriter queries regarding outstanding premiums and adjustments.
Enter contract information, including expense percentages and signing numbers, into the accounting system.
Maintain premium statistics for line slips and binders.
Track all transactions processed and paid using Excel workbooks.
Manage templates for accounting system documents (e.g., debit/credit notes, closings).

Accounting:
Allocate funds from daily cash received reports.
Request release of delinked entries once funds are received.
Regularly review accounting reports (e.g., unallocated cash, funding, unrealised brokerage, aged debt).
Chase outstanding premiums and submit invoices to Finance for payment.



Essential Skills Required:

Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office 365.
Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
Collaborative team player with a flexible approach to changing requirements.



Desirable:

Experience in (Re)Insurance accounting, ideally within a Lloyd's broker.
Knowledge of DXC systems.
Familiarity with insurance integrated broking system (desirable but not essential).
