The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Pay and Reward Specialist to join their People Function Unit on an interim 3-month basis. his role involves collaborating across departments to develop and manage both financial and non-financial reward systems within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pay and Reward, with a proven track record of implementing effective policies and projects that align with equalities and social inclusion objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide advice, support, and coaching to managers and staff on the implementation of Reward-related policies and initiatives, taking the lead on complex Reward casework.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of crosscutting projects, programmes, and policies related to Reward.
  • Establish and maintain effective networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Lead on communication of Reward activities and engage with staff networks, responding to enquiries from staff and stakeholders on reward matters.
  • Assist senior officers in data analysis, reporting, and responding to scrutiny on Reward.
  • Manage supplier relationships, tender for new activity or renewal of existing activity related to staff benefits, ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers.
  • Promote and enable equality of opportunities and address the diverse needs and aspirations of London’s communities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Pay and Reward, with evidence of successful provision of advice, policies, and projects.
  • Proficient in preparing and presenting clear and concise written reports, policies, and briefings on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Skilled in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of complex data, legislation, and other information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver Reward programmes in a complex organisation.
