School Administrator - Based in East London

  • Full time working hours - 8.30 - 16.30 , Term time plus 2 weeks

We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to manage all administrative aspects of our school under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the School Business Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the school office and supporting the administrative needs of our teaching staff and SLT.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and phone inquiries, ensuring a warm and professional reception.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with key staff and stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support as required.
  • Manage daily operations including first day calling, weekly staff attendance reporting to HR, and office facilities management.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks.
  • Maintain up-to-date pupil records and ensure compliance with administrative procedures in the Attendance Toolkit.
  • Oversee the maintenance of office supplies, furniture, and minor maintenance works.
  • Assist in the drafting and formatting of letters, reports, and statistics for various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor service contractors and ensure that school facilities are maintained to high standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in office management systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with educational databases and software, such as Scholar Pack.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
