We are currently recruiting tor a School Admissions Administrator on a temporary contract basis in a very historic educational environment. This role is integral to the administrative and admissions operations of our school, supporting both the School Secretary and the Senior Team, and coordinating the pupil admissions process.

General Administrative Duties:

  • Support the School Secretary in managing the pupil and staff database.
  • Assist with general office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and archiving.
  • Handle school correspondence and communications, including newsletters and parent letters.
  • Coordinate diaries for the Head and Deputies as needed.
  • Deal professionally with queries from parents and staff, and support visitors.
  • Provide cover for the administrative team during holidays or absences.

Admissions Coordinator Duties:

  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for prospective parents and pupils, managing all enquiries via email, phone, or the school website.
  • Organise school tours and meetings with the Head or Head of Pre-prep for prospective parents.
  • Manage the admissions process including receiving registration forms, confirming payments, and maintaining the school database.
  • Coordinate assessments and manage the waiting list.
  • Develop relationships with sending schools and nurseries to promote the school.
  • Support with Open Days and events for new parents and pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in managing databases and office administration systems.
  • Professional demeanour with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
