We are seeking a School Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at our school, providing a warm welcome to students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role demands excellent communication and organisational skills to manage the front desk efficiently and maintain a welcoming environment.
School Receptionist
- Job Type: Full-time 36 hours per week
Day-to-day of the role:
- Front Desk Management: Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries.
- Administrative Support: Assist with tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing school records.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointments and meetings for school staff and administrators.
- Mail Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
- Safety and Security: Monitor visitor access and maintain security protocols.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing school events and activities.
- Supplies Management: Keep inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
