We are seeking a School Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at our school, providing a warm welcome to students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role demands excellent communication and organisational skills to manage the front desk efficiently and maintain a welcoming environment.

School Receptionist

  • Job Type: Full-time 36 hours per week

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Front Desk Management: Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing school records.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate appointments and meetings for school staff and administrators.
  • Mail Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor visitor access and maintain security protocols.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing school events and activities.
  • Supplies Management: Keep inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
