Our client is a large technology firm in the heart of London, with an employee count of over 1800. Specialising in providing data and analytical information to gambling clients across the UK & US.

Description

As a SDET in your main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Designing, developing and executing automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly and tracking bugs
  • Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

  • Collaborating with the development team to ensure consistent project execution

  • Identifying system performance risks and problems, and developing and implementing efficient solutions

  • Participating in project planning and design meetings

  • Keeping up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies

Profile

A successful SDET candidate will have experience of the following:

  • Expert in quality planning and strategy across the entire SDLC
  • Strong knowledge of C# with at least 2 years hands on experience
  • Expert in Automation testing, with focus on programmatic testing of API's and headless services
  • Good knowledge of software development best practices and principles (SOLID, DRY etc)
  • Experience of testing distributed micro services, including queues, caches, message bus etc
  • Understanding of BDD and TDD
  • Good SQL knowledge, with the ability to build complex queries and determine the quality of the data both received and delivered
  • Experience of complex end-to-end system processes involving multiple components and interfaces
  • Strong mathematical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to work without supervision, and use own initiative to get the job done
  • Understand risk-based approaches to testing
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Desirable:

  • Gambling/Gaming/Sporting Industry
  • Knowledge of CI/CD best practises
  • Agile/Scrum/Iteration based Development/Change methods
  • Experience using Azure DevOps

Job Offer

On offer for a successful candidate is the ability to earn up to £600 per day for an initial 6 month contract working in a hybrid formatting commuting to the office in London, ideally 2 days per week but this is flexible.
