Are you an experienced Special Needs Assistant looking for a new role? Do you enjoy supporting children learn, develop and grow?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for confident Special Needs Assistants to work in SEN schools and SEN units across North London. The majority of roles are full time, long-term roles with opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.

The role as Special Needs Assistant:

  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students communicate and sometimes managing their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

As a Special Needs Assistant you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people with SEN
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
