Job Overview:We are seeking a passionate and skilled Stalking Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert advocacy and support to individuals experiencing stalking, managing a caseload of 20-25 clients. You will be responsible for delivering robust risk assessments, devising safety plans, and providing information on stalking legislation, all while working closely with relevant agencies to ensure the highest standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive risk assessments and safety plans for victims of stalking.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on stalking-related legislation.
  • Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients, ensuring each client receives tailored advocacy support.
  • Conduct initial assessments, develop support plans, and work with relevant agencies to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records using our case management system.
  • Adhere to high service standards and comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Identify and maintain appropriate boundaries in client interactions, referring to other services as needed.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector.
  • Proactively develop professional skills through reading, training, and attending relevant courses.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Be an ambassador for the organisation, representing its mission, vision, and values.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training, contributing to the ongoing development of the team.
  • Support operational team leaders with additional tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in providing advocacy support, ideally within the VAWG or stalking sector.
  • Knowledge of stalking legislation and an understanding of safety planning and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
