Duties will include;

- Statutory Compliance: Ensure that the SEN team meets the statutory 20-week timescale for completing EHC needs assessments and issuing EHCPs, as well as meeting deadlines for annual reviews.

- Leadership and Management: Provide day-to-day management and leadership to the SEN team, ensuring that staff are supported, workloads are balanced, and that performance is monitored effectively.

- Service Improvement: Drive service improvements, ensuring that processes are efficient, timely, and in line with statutory duties and best practice.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with schools, health and social care partners, and other external agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to supporting children and young people with SEN.

- Ofsted Preparation: Play a key role in preparing the service for the upcoming Ofsted inspection, ensuring that all aspects of the service are compliant with statutory requirements and that the Local Authority is in a strong position to demonstrate good practice.

- Data Monitoring and Reporting: Ensure that data is accurately monitored and reported, providing timely updates on key performance indicators such as EHCP timeliness and the completion of annual reviews
