This is a fantastic EU Payroll Specialist position, which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to lead and oversee the European payroll operations for an established and growing software technology company in the City of London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll accounting and a strong eye for detail.

Description

  • Liaising closely with external payroll partners
  • Taking full ownership of end to end, monthly payroll across EU
  • Partnering regularly with internal finance and HR teams to ensure data is reconciled and queries resolved
  • Keep to up to date with tax requirements for new jurisdictions, wage and tax laws, and additional regulatory changes and requirements that may impact payroll
  • Perform regular reconciliations and audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of employee pay information
  • Improve and implement processes and internal controls
  • Calculating and reporting benefit deductions and tax with holdings, timely and accurately.
  • Owning payroll-related, monthly reporting process including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Act as main point-of-contact for employees on questions relating to pay

Profile

A successful EU Payroll Specialist should have:

  • Strong EU, end to end payroll experience
  • Payroll system experience is beneficial
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate independent decision-making and pro-activity
  • Desire to progress and improve the payroll function
