Payroll Administrator- West End/Hybrid- Fixed Term Contract- £30000-£35000

Responsibilities:

Payroll Management

In line with UK legislation, company policies and guidance, oversee the payroll cycle liaising with the payroll provider and other stakeholders to deliver an excellent payroll service.

  • Processing the monthly outsourced payrolls (both local and modified "shadow" payroll)
  • Responsible for processing all amendments in a timely manner - entering employee amendments including starters, leavers, bank detail changes etc.
  • Processing Shares Exercise, incentive payments, salary review
  • Ensuring all forms i.e., court order etc. are processed in accordance with agreed deadlines.
  • Processing all benefits and pensions
  • Ensuring pension contributions are uploaded in a timely manner.
  • Producing tax information on a monthly and annual basis i.e., P45, P60, P11d
  • Year-end processing including producing benefits and annual statements.
  • Ensuring HMRC reporting is completed.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure excellent and accurate payroll accounting.
  • Using HR information systems to gather people data and insights to contribute to decision making.
  • Continuous improvement of the payroll processes
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issue, deductions and calculations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information and adhere to data protection regulations.

Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 Years of payroll experience
  • Experience in working with shadow payroll, highly desirable
  • Experience in processing stock options through payroll
  • Experience in working with hourly staff payroll
  • Experience in setting, improving and documenting payroll processes
  • Knowledge of managing payroll in the UK
  • Knowledge/general understanding of payroll accounting
  • Excellent Excel skills
