Payroll Advisor Benefits...

  • You will be the point of contact for all pension and benefits queries.
  • Work closely with the benefits brokers to ensure efficient communication and information is kept up to date.
  • Manages the renewal processes for all benefits in close collaboration with the HRD.
As their Payroll Advisor….
  • You will play a crucial part taking care of UK and Ireland and sit within the fabulous HR team.
  • This is a standalone role - however you will have support all around you for those tricky situations or questions you need asking.
  • You will be a people person - working super close with the HR team and wider teams such as Retail Managers, Retail staff, Head Office teams etc. Be that approachable, go-to person with any questions about pay.
  • You are fully responsible for the full remit of payroll including input, processing is correct and ready for ADP to then process on time.
  • Manage all data to ensure HRIS systems are correct and up to date
  • Taking care of external benefits such as pensions, private healthcare, cycle to work… If you have ideas, HR would love your input with projects and topics to think about - as your ideas count!

All things Payroll…

  • Ensure UK and Ireland payroll is managed and accurate and ready for the third-party ADP to process payments
  • Produce and provide support for all statutory reporting including P11D/P60/P45, including month and year end processes.
  • Time & Attendance system - deal with any query's and issues and advise on all payroll and t&A in a timely manner.
  • Manage the Company pension plans, ensuring they remain compliant with pension law and following all guidance from The Pension Regulator (UK)
  • Oversee the set up and management of the PRSA for Irish employees, working closely with our broker as needed.
  • Be that great business partner with the Finance and Retail teams to ensure that a strong culture of communication and support is adopted.
  • Calculates all retail commission schemes and processes accordingly through the payroll.
  • Identifies best practice and conducts periodic reviews of existing processes, ensuring efficiencies are identified and implemented wherever possible - with 'what can we do better' mindset for business change and growth
  • Supports with ad hoc reporting, data analysis and audit requests.
  • Willingness to provide training to managers on payroll processes to ensure payroll runs smoothly where possible
  • Answer all payroll queries, enforcing the correct reporting procedure for retail.

HRIS

  • Be the first point of contact for the business for all HR Information Systems (HRIS) related queries
  • Working closely with the HR Coordinator, ensure all HRIS systems are kept in full working order and with 100% data accuracy.

HR Administration

  • The HR team need help with query and issue resolution, focussing on pay-related topics.
  • Ensures accurate records are kept in a secure and GDPR compliant manner.
  • At times to be a support with ER cases e.g., note taking, follow up communication etc.
  • To give support when the HR Coordinator has high workload periods or absence.

HR Projects

  • Get involved with support with the HR team with Gender Pay Gap reporting, CSR reporting and annual
  • salary reviews
  • Collaborates with the HR team across all team-based initiatives and projects, and contribute ideas

What do you need to bring and have for this Payroll Advisor position...

Essential!

  • You need to have experience of running a payroll system, ideally from a retail background (the dream!)
  • Experience using a T&A system.
  • Strong excel skills - minimum intermediate level.
  • Highly organised and methodical
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Process-driven and analytical.
  • Team player

Desirable Criteria:

  • CIPP qualified or wishes to work towards
  • Some generalist HR experience or interest in a wider scope
  • Experience using ADP, Kronos and/or StoreForce
