Payroll Administrator

Full Time Contract (6 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Payroll Administrator in Greenwhich. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • To assist with the operational aspects of the organisation's Payroll Service's process and procedures.
  • To contribute to ensuring that over 10,000 staff are paid (in excess of £200m) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To support the service undertaking a range of administrative activities in the day to day operation of the Service
  • To create records on the Payroll System for new starters, leavers and variations and to maintain and revise employee as necessary, liaising with relevant department or organisations as appropriate
  • Ensure that paperwork is completed and checked correctly for Audit purposes. Ensure that all documents are stored correctly and in a timely manner

The candidate:

  • Experience working in a similar role is essential
  • Experience working in a similar role for a local authority is desirable
  • Must be able to work fully on site
