Temporary Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Payroll Administrator to join our Temp Payroll team, responsible for processing payments to temporary employees on a weekly basis. This role is integral to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments, working closely with the Finance and IT teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, thrive under pressure, and possess strong organisational skills.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Run all weekly payrolls in a structured and organised manner.
  • Check and reconcile daily payroll runs and produce associated spreadsheets.
  • Update and maintain Payroll Schedules and Payroll Procedures Manual.
  • Handle queries and escalations efficiently, adhering to SLA agreements.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Maintain the highest level of payroll security and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Finance, HR, IT, and Operations.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English qualifications (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
  • Experience in a Payroll position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Experience in administration within a process-driven environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
  • Goal-oriented with effective planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and resilience in handling difficult queries.
  • Calm and methodical approach to daily issues.
  • Eagerness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
