Following a recent internal move, an opportunity has arisen for a Payroll & Pensions Officer to join a growing, fast paced Payroll team for a logistics business based in central London.

Our client is a logistics business with a reputation for excellence in providing quality accredited pathology services to the UK and across the world.

Description

  • Processing payroll: Ensuring payments are accurate and timely, and calculating statutory deductions
  • Administering pensions: Enrolling employees in pension schemes, processing contributions, and liaising with pension providers
  • Ensuring compliance: Staying up to date with legislation and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and pension auto-enrolment requirements

  • Supporting employees: Handling payroll-related queries and providing advice and support to employees

  • Preparing reports: Preparing and submitting payroll-related reports to government agencies, and producing annual P11D forms

  • Assisting with audits: Assisting with internal and external audits

  • Coordinating reporting: Coordinating the reporting of pension documents to pension organisations

Profile

  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of Pensions, in particular NHS Pensions and the ability to advise on best practice in general pension related matters.
  • Previous experience of working in a Payroll and Pension Administration role.
  • Good all round payroll knowledge.
  • Experience of working in both a public and private sector Payroll Department is preferred, particularly a private sector organisation with NHS pension scheme members.
