Job Title: Payroll Specialist - UK and Ireland Salary: £42,000Location: London Hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 WFH.   Did you want to work as a Payroll Specialist for an industry leading organisation that offers you hybrid working, fantastic staff benefits and great career progression opportunities for a competitive salary of £42,000?This role requires sole payroll experience, and retail experience.  Responsibilities:
  • Respond to payroll queries for Ireland & UK.
  • Complete monthly remittances accurately and on time.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Handle queries and communications in line with company SLA’s.
  • Correspond with HMRC and internal auditors.
  • Conduct auto enrolment checks and SMP calculations.
  • Ensure UK retail payroll changes comply with legislation and are processed accurately and on time.
  • Validate payroll reports from the outsourced provider.
  • Research and integrate upcoming UK legislation changes.
  • Support payroll processing, including maternity schedules, timecards, and bonus reconciliations.
About you:
  • Experience with time management systems and HR systems.
  • High analytical skills and accuracy in work.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work quickly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about delivering quality service on time.
  • Proven experience in a payroll team, ideally in a retail environment with an outsourced provider.
  • Skilled in handling a wide range of payroll queries.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with experience in various formulas.
  • Knowledgeable in UK payroll legislation, including SMP, SSP, and pensions auto-enrolment.
