The Payroll Specialist is a key role in the Accounting & Finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes. This role is crucial for maintaining employee satisfaction and upholding the company's reputation in the not-for-profit sector.

Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate employee records.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives in payroll systems.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll vendors.
  • Oversee year-end payroll activities such as P60 distribution.

Profile

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

  • SAP, Oracle and iTrent exposure
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll systems and HMRC regulations.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to handle queries and build relationships.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
