This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of payroll services across multiple European countries, within an outsourced payroll model. The ideal candidate will be an experienced payroll professional with expertise in payroll governance, compliance, and vendor management.  

  Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring service delivery meets contractual agreements and company standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee payroll operations across multiple European jurisdictions, including the UK, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing with the outsourced payroll provider.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes that may affect payroll processes.
  • Review payroll reports for accuracy and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining high-quality payroll records.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams to manage payroll-related queries, benefits administration, and employee data integrity across regions.
  • Work with regional and local stakeholders to address jurisdiction-specific requirements and changes that may impact payroll delivery.
  • Manage escalations, monitor SLAs, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Participate in regular service reviews and address issues or escalations promptly.
  • Collaborate with the vendor on system updates, process improvements, and ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations.
  • Ensure payroll processes are compliant with company policies and maintain robust internal controls.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in payroll governance, risk management, and maintaining compliance with both local and international standards.
  • Proven track record in payroll, with specific experience in an outsourced payroll model (international payroll experience is desirable). Financial services experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and reporting tools is essential.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional European language skills considered a plus.
  • Relevant payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
