Freelance Payroll Specialist - UK

This global streaming entertainment company is seeking a UK Payroll Specialist to be a key player in their international payroll team.

You'll work cross-functionally, especially across US and UK time zones, ensuring smooth payroll operations and compliance.

Responsibilities

Process payroll & expenses for UK entities using Workday.
Manage relationships with HMRC & tax advisory firms.
Ensure accurate & timely payroll covering base pay, taxes, pensions, benefits, and shadow payroll.
Handle wage tax filings & compliance.
Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and accruals.
Partner with HR, Employee Services & Legal for an excellent payroll experience.
Sole payroll specialist in the UK team.

Skills

Degree in Finance, Tax, or Accounting (preferred)
5+ years UK payroll experience (multi-entity processing)
Workday expertise is a must (in-house processing)
Strong Excel & reporting skills
Great communicator, adaptable & detail-oriented
Fluent in English
