Tate Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a world-renowned institution known for its excellence in education, research, and innovation to seek a Payroll Specialist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a prestigious organisation while working in a vibrant and collaborative environment. The post-holder will be responsible for business-as-usual (BAU) payroll activities while also working on multiple mini-projects to improve payroll structures and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process high-volume payroll for 20,000 workers
  • Identify and resolve payroll issues, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Perform manual payroll calculations as needed
  • Work with multiple payroll systems, integrating data from various departments
  • Investigate discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Support the payroll team in implementing necessary structural changes

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • CIPP qualification (essential)
  • Experience handling high-volume payroll
  • Strong manual calculations experience
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and systems
  • Strong adaptability to new payroll systems (Oracle experience is a plus but not required)
